Pam, it's come to my attention that you have been PMing members of HDH CONTROVERSY and suggesting you are in touch with Facebook Legal Department and you will be reporting comments and they will remove IPs from Facebook if found to be committing libel.
Admin in this group are aware of what is libel and make every effort to remove it quickly and efficiently. Discussing the Police Files is NOT libel and if the details in the files suggest Gerry and Kate may be complicit in their daughter's disappearance THAT is not libel..
As long as we use reliable sources, and try to report the other side of the story we are able to report statements and allegations if there’s a public interest in distributing the information to a wide audience.

Athough Kate McCann hasn't give you the opportunity of the £100,000 translation of the police files to work with to help you in the search for Maddie (for her own reasons) I understand that you have your own resources for discovering the truth.

Goncalo Amaral, Tony Bennett and the Express Newspapers have been sued by Kate and Gerry but NOT BECAUSE THEY WERE TELLING LIES.
Kate and Gerry have used 'other' methods to try and stop the TRUTH getting to the UK NOT by accusing them of lies...because they KNOW they were not lying.....
WE WANT THE UK TO SEE THE FILES SO THEY CAN DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES.

I DO know that you honestly want Madeleine to be found safe and well (which we would ALL love to happen)and I choose not to question your beliefs that the McCanns are not complicit in their daughter's disappearance...you have YOUR 'truth' but it doesn't mean you have a right to try to change others' opinions with reasons based on.....er...some 'resources'...and what Kate and Gerry say?
You claim that Scotland Yard have declared the McCanns 'cleared' and not suspects....but they HAVE NOT DECLARED THEM INNOCENT! Please do not confuse the comments.

Kate Holt to be fair, Facebook does actually encourage you to write to the person you are reporting to explain why you object to the comment. 

when you click report, there is an option to contact the person by pm, to tell them why you wish the comment removed, or block the person. then you have the option to report to Facebook.

I totally think it's fair enough to block Pamela, if that is what members want. But she has only been doing as Facebook have specifically asked her to.

Debbie Coates Pamela Gurney is an intimidating bully, here and on Twitter. People who resort to the kind of tactics she uses to threaten people do so because they have nothing else and are incapable of participating in reasoned debate without resorting to threats and insults. I advise anyone to stop her unwanted communications by either blocking her, or changing their Facebook Privacy settings so that anyone who is not on their Friends list cannot send them messages. My opinion is that Ms. Gurneys "resources" which enable her to state unequivocally that the McCanns are innocent probably amount to nothing more than a post-it note reading "We never done nuffink, right? K + G". Keep reading the files and making your own minds up!

I was just wondering if there has ever been a poll. Roughly what percenatge of those polled:

1. Believe in the McCanns story, ie the abductor yarn
2. Believe, like us, that they are covering up her death (either by accident or things more sinister)
3. Aren't sure

By the numbers in the pro group last time I looked I would imagine that the majority are still believing blindly in what the media want them to believe. And the rest of the Pro McCann camp are just blatantly in denial.

I would like you all to STOP for a moment and look at some of the comments.....

I made it CLEAR in the OP that I am concerned with personal messages to my members but I have made it clear that I respect her right to believe as she wants.

We are accused of being 'vile trolls' and as far as I am concerned we are NOT...but looking at some of the above comments it appears there may be justification in being called names.

This group does NOT rely on name calling and ridicule and comments of that nature only DISCREDIT us!

The guidleines of this group ask you SPECIFICALLY to not ridicule... There is no reason for it and its something that troubles me.

Do we WANT HDH to be known in that way?

I don't care what everyone's personal thoughts about Pam may be, I CANNOT allow this group to be viewed at the same level as some other McCann sites that refuse to have open views.

This OP is a WARNING about the PM messages and NOT an opportunity to allow others to see us as a 'vile group' that ridicules others.

Lets leave that to others....We want to seek the truth about Madeleine's disappearance and we can't do it if our credibility is jeopardised!

James Haydon A major tactic for revilers: Attack the the messenger, instead of the true message. If any of her claimed 'libel' accusations really were, there'd be no need to go to FB Admin, because defamation could be immediately sought. It's all no more than intimidation, because they don't like the truth being discussed. If there's any truth in her accusations, let her come here openly to debate them.

I am just thinking that there may be growing pressure on the McCann's & that's why she has started to email members? I have watched the official page for a long time. before, comments were removed very quickly without comment, but it appears to have a new admin who is very outspoken & replying to comments that they don't approve of.

Occasionally some members dont do this page any favours by engaging in conversations with P.G.& D.W.( plus others whos names escape me) when P&Co start using disruptive tactics, ignore them....Silence speaks louder than words at times. Dont steep to their level, theyre just not worth the risk of having this page closed. (Unless of course they are engaging in a constructive debate on the debating page!) As for the use of threatening tactics, they should be ashamed of themselves.
It is just such a shame that P.G. & Co. cant reciprocate the the respect that Lizzy has always shown her/them. Keep up the good work Lizzy , you and your admin team do a remarkable job.

James Haydon David, I totally get the frustrations, but with PM's heading to members, I think a better tactic is to flush it out, so if PG won't deal out in the open, she'll be exposed for what she really is. That's why I reckon Lizzy is doing this right.

David Steel James Haydon no...you're entitled to your opinion. I think Lizzy Hideho Taylor is superb and I believe this is by far the best group on FB ... but the tolerance of trolls & disrupter's was the reason I left admin. It's so frustrating to see the PG roadshow roll on week after week...when a BAN would stop it all! .

James Haydon I'd like to respond to Joy Savage's excellent defence against PG, who was going for nothing more than pure intimidation. If anyone receives a PM off PG, as she's still active here, MAKE SURE TO put the ball back in her court every time, by getting her to stand her statements or accusations up: "Which laws?" Ask her to point to specifics, etc. I reckon she'll run a mile as soon as you do!
