Has anyone had a close look to the girls features on the pictures? Could it be two different girls? (Just a thought...) For me they look different, also according to the age-difference, made up. One reffering to the girl with the larger eyes and slimmer face; the other going in the direction of the girl with the chubby cheeks and the smaller eyes. Just noticed that a while a go - and thought you should have a close look.

These photos illustrate the age difference, for me.
The question I'd ask is why a younger photo would be circulated in the press when it doesn't show what Madeleline would look like at the time of her disappearance? Why publicise an image not relevant? People would be looking for a much younger child.

Sandra Meneice two off the pics are age progression of what she may have looked like at an older age off around 9-10. the younger pictures are harder to pick out differences as children change so much at a younger age they can also look like they have slightly darker hair chubbier cheeks depending on camera angles. one off my children was born with dark brown hair which fell out and grew in as almost blonde white hair and is now a very dark/blonde and thats in 10 years. children grow and change so much at young ages

Astrid Dornbrach I have pics of my daughter with 2-and-a-half and four years old. But the shape of her face didn't change that much... One slim-faces, the other chubby-cheeked. And the eyes show!

Amanda McCabe I have a daughter close to Madeleine's age at the time she vanished, and take a lot of photos of her doing all kinds of stuff. Some posed, most candid. Their faces are so changeable at this age. Although you can see the same eyes, nose, hair colour, photos a week apart can show her with a chubbier face or her eyes much larger. It really depends on so many factors - emotion, what she's doing, if she's tired, if she's concentrating, good mood or following a threenager tantrum.

Amanda McCabe The close up pic, she is the youngest. It's what we jokingly called the drooly photo phase around 2 years old you often catch an dopey dreamy look when they're a bit slippy from teething dribble and they're unhappy about something. Dry the face and put her down for a nap and you replace that expression with a much less sour one.

Astrid Dornbrach Absolutely. That's what I say! Not even an eyelash of the girl, there. But I think the biggest evidence are the bed-sheets. Had she just layn in there, before the abductor came, there must have been sweat, hair, particles of skin. And the parents said, they had given all kids a bath, the evening before - what about the towel, then?

But I have to say that this whole thread is idiotic. Why would there be another child involved? To what end? I know there are conspiracy theories out there that say that Maddie never existed, but really all that does is show that some people really have incredible imaginations.
